When was this social media platform created?

Snapchat was released July 8th 2011, about 10 years ago this multimedia app was made by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy and Reggie brown who all are former students from Stanford university and developed by snap Inc, originally Snapchat Inc.

Changes that were made to the app and why?

there has been many updates throughout the years to keep up to speed with other popular apps used for social media like snapchat and twitter to stay relevant and not lose its users, which can mess up there revenue, you can use filters on snapchat, send long videosm call, facetime, make a groupchat, post on your story, etc

Why I feel as though some of these changes happened?

just to adapt, to stay in the competition, stay relevant and being used a lot by users to make money, I am honestly surprised it is still relevant today right now, it looks like it will grow from years to come for producers and consumers to use, it looks like an primary use of communication for a lot of people right now.
